Los Caballeros del Son is a five piece band that play the traditional style of Cuban music known as “Son Montuno”. Acoustic guitars, percussion, double bass, trumpet and vocals create a warm inviting sound that draws the listener in, and the energy from the group is infectious, being comprised of some of the best players in Toronto. The concert at UTSC was tons of fun! Their next gig is this Friday November 20th and is at Zemra bar lounge, 778 St.Clair Ave West. It starts at 9:30 p.m.

WHC Steel Pan Ensemble

West Humber Collegiate has the largest steel band credit course in Canada, with over 200 pan students! Taught by Mr. Joe Cullen and Ms. Cindy Michalak, they have achieved a staggering 12 first place finishes at Kiwanis Music Festivals and the school has been awarded several scholarships for Excellence in Steel Orchestra.
