Come and beat the Winter Blues with a week-long celebration of arts and culture at the University of Toronto Scarborough. A wide-range of events are planned for this year's festival, including the 1st Annual UTSC Guitar & Piano Competition, Lunchtime Music Solos, and a special lecture given by the 2012 Snider Visiting Arist, Martin Arnold. Beyond the Page: Learning Choral Music By Rote

Suba Sankaran and Dylan Bell of FreePlay Duo will conduct a contemporary a cappella workshop consisting of physical, breathing and vocal warmups, harmonic exercises, vocal percussion, teaching a song by rote, and a vocal group improvisation. No preparation necessary: singers will use their ears as their guide!
